This talk presents the optical design workflow for a total internal reflection (TIR) headlamp consisting of a high beam and a low beam. We’ll demonstrate a solution for light shaping using the MacroFocal tool to create TIR lenses. We’ll discuss a typical automotive application and limitations of the process.
